COACH BATTERY CHARGER

The type FVT and FVTB accumulator chargers serve
to charge the accumulator batteries and supply the DC loads of railway
passenger-cars. The energy taken from the heating voltage is converted
by a high frequency unit to the level necessary for the charge of the
accumulators. The high frequency unit ensures also the potential separation.
In service mode, the input can be taken from a 380V/50Hz network.
The microprocessor controller ensures optimal charging, selective protection
and black box function for the troubleshooting. The charger can be connected
to the car controller and to an external computer by means of series line.
A PC monitor program helps to query the data stored in the black box.
The type FVTB charger is a recently developed product series. The main
difference to the older type FVT product series is that the new one has
an input booster stage ensuring sinusoidal input current and better efficiency.
The construction of the chargers covers the international railway standards
UIC.
